Carrier offers three levels of heat pumps to match your needs and your budget. Rest assured: all three of these heat pumps offer the highest standard of quality, durability and efficiency.
Heat pumps have become increasingly more popular with New England homeowners in recent years, and with good reason. They are quiet, energy-efficient, versatile and can last longer than other heating and cooling systems.
Heat pumps work by pulling heat from the cooler air outside (or from the ground if you have a geothermal heat pump), circulating refrigerant between an outdoor compressor and an indoor air unit and distributing it inside. During the warmer months, this process is reversed, sending heat outside of your home and providing you with cool air. Heat pumps are powered by electricity, not fossil fuels, making them more environmentally friendly.
Because heat pumps can handle both heating and cooling, many homeowners do not need to install separate systems to heat their homes. In cooler climates, such as Massachusetts, an electric heat strip can be added to the indoor fan coil for additional capabilities. They can also be used in both ducted and ductless configurations.
As a part of the Mass Save® Heat Pump Installer Network, we can provide access to rebates up to $16,000 on air source heat pumps and up to $25,000 on ground source heat pumps. %0 financing opportunities are also available on qualifying improvements.
